Classic CPM design "DUO" with two working rolls and movable forced working stand is used for rolling of hard deformed materials with breaking point in initial state up to 1000 MPa. Furthermore, high-speed lightened version may be used for rolling tubes of ductile materials on the base of copper or aluminum and other materials with breaking point in initial state up to 500 MPa.
Mills are intended for rolling of tubes of stainless, heat resistant steels grade and other hard deformed materials with ultimate strength in initial state up to 1100 MPa. Specific features of the tube type production are significant vertical and axial forces during rolling process, high requirements to the accuracy of geometric dimensions and to the surface quality. For production of this tube type, “QUARTO” type mills are recommended.
A significant amount of cold rolled tubes, especially thin-walled, of small diameter from heat resisting, stainless grades as well as alloys on the basis of zirconium, titanium and nickel with increased requirements to accuracy, quality of finished surface and metal structure is required for the power, machine-building and chemical industries. For production of these tubes, two-, three- and four-rolls mills with lever type synchronization are recommended.
Cold Rolling Pilger Mill HPTR is intended for manufacturing cold-rolled high-quality tubes out of carbon, alloyed, high-alloyed steels, special hard-wrought alloys, and nonferrous metals.
